I'm finding that since being diagnosed, it's the little victories that mean the most. Here are three of mine..
1) In the 6 weeks since I have been diagnosed, I have lost 18 lbs.
2) I walked the equalivent of 2 miles today. (first time in lord knows how long that I actually exercised) Since it is so blasted hot out, I got a walking dvd. Let me tell you.. it nearly kicked my butt, but I survided. Waiting to see what it did to my blood sugars. I don't expect miracles, but Im hoping it brings them down even a little as they have been high most of the day.
3) My AC1 @ diagnosis was 8.8. They ran blood 30 days later and it was down to 8.1. I know I have a ways to go, but even that little bit made me proud of myself.
What are some of your small victories?
