I worked graveyard shift but only got in 41 floors and a little over 20,000 steps in 2 nights, Saturday and Sunday. Too much office time.

I had a cardiologist appointment 2 weeks ago and mentioned my chest being sore and I thought it was muscle soreness from riding my bike a little more. The NP said I could come in for a stress test if I wanted to, so I asked to do it last Thursday and just got my results yesterday. My last stress test in 2015, they said come back and lets do a heart cath, so I was a little nervous about this one. They talked to BH because I was sleeping, and told her my heart was really good, keep taking the CoQ-10 and Krill Oil. Emphasis is from note BH jotted down. Needless to say, I had a little more pep in my step last night. About 6000 steps and 16 floors since midnight.

Got off graveyard shift Tuesday morning and napped. Got up early to take my camper to get an estimate for repair costs of damage resulting from a blow out weekend before last going to the lake. So I didn't do much more Tuesday.

Rain back upon us again yesterday, back on the trainer with the bike. A 19.7 mile ride at lunch time and 18.6 mile ride after supper. BG a 97 two hours after supper before ride and an 80 after the ride.

Was the last half a more brisk pace than the first half? Check, extra credit.

Went out to eat last night after work, too late to think about riding after getting back home and had plenty of steps. Decided to get up and ride this morning, because some of my runner friends get up and run before coming to work. Rode 13.2 miles, took a shower, and went to work. Not sure what hurt more, remembering that I'm not a get up out of bed and go person or having to wait until I got to work to have my bullet proof coffee. I've been hobbling around all day. I don't think I will ride get up and ride before work in the morning.

Went lawnmower shopping Saturday morning. The old one, a 2008 zero turn, is acting like it did when a valve stuck and broke a push rod. Picked out the new one and it will be delivered Tuesday. Got home and checked the weather forecast, looked like rain would be arriving about 5 PM, so took off on a bike ride. Got 10 miles from the house and got into a rain shower. Fortunately I was at a church that had a big pavilion I got under just in time to keep dry. I decided I better head back toward home when the rain shower stopped. Riding back across the river bottoms, the wind was gusty and you could feel the temperature drop. There was a time on a long straight stretch that I swore the wind blew from every direction. Bad head wind, the cross wind from the left, then cross wind from the right, and even a brief but nice tail wind. The sky was getting darker and about 5 miles from the house, the bottom fell out. I thought about stopping at a small country store about a mile up the road and get under their overhang at the gas pumps. It wasn't letting up and a person can get only so wet. Since I was already soaked, I went ahead and rode home without stopping, just like the rain. Ride was 20.9 miles.

Dedication would be to start a ride under those conditions. That ride was survival mode after the fact.

Busy day at work today. 14,137 steps and 63 floors. Glad tomorrow is my Friday.

Yesterday was a very lazy day, today not so. Went on a bike ride with the group I joined. Took off at 6 AM and rode 32.4 miles. This afternoon I gave the dog a haircut (think shearing sheep).

A 44.6 mile bike ride on beautiful but breezy Memorial Day. I called it Hills and Headwinds at High Noon. It's almost the season to get out and ride before mid-day.

BG before ride 83 mg/dL, after ride and a shower it was 90.

Went on an organized 50.4 mile bike ride, Tour de Forest. Dang its getting hot. They had 5 rest stops, plenty of cold water, pickles and pickle juice, so staying hydrated and wasn't an issue. Neither was cramping.

I have quick release axles on my bike. Put one side in, line up the other side, then pull handle to clamp. In and out of the trainer in about 5 seconds.
