I can relate to that - I'm 57 and gardening always seems to tire me out. I'm thinking of building box gardens this spring in the few sunny spots that are left in the back of my property. I will likely thank myself for doing that in future years. :smile2:
A couple of weeks ago, I had a complete copper re-pipe. I watched the guy carrying out the rusted steel pipes & I envied him because when I was young, I did work like that - loading & unloading trucks, heavy lifting, helping friends move, etc.

He got a good laugh when I told him, "Enjoy your youth; I used to do work like that when I was your age...now it means a trip to the ER."

I walked about 12 miles today, and it was a hard slog at times.

Went lawnmower shopping Saturday morning. The old one, a 2008 zero turn, is acting like it did when a valve stuck and broke a push rod. Picked out the new one and it will be delivered Tuesday. Got home and checked the weather forecast, looked like rain would be arriving about 5 PM, so took off on a bike ride. Got 10 miles from the house and got into a rain shower. Fortunately I was at a church that had a big pavilion I got under just in time to keep dry. I decided I better head back toward home when the rain shower stopped. Riding back across the river bottoms, the wind was gusty and you could feel the temperature drop. There was a time on a long straight stretch that I swore the wind blew from every direction. Bad head wind, the cross wind from the left, then cross wind from the right, and even a brief but nice tail wind. The sky was getting darker and about 5 miles from the house, the bottom fell out. I thought about stopping at a small country store about a mile up the road and get under their overhang at the gas pumps. It wasn't letting up and a person can get only so wet. Since I was already soaked, I went ahead and rode home without stopping, just like the rain. Ride was 20.9 miles.

Dedication would be to start a ride under those conditions. That ride was survival mode after the fact.

Busy day at work today. 14,137 steps and 63 floors. Glad tomorrow is my Friday.

Yesterday was a very lazy day, today not so. Went on a bike ride with the group I joined. Took off at 6 AM and rode 32.4 miles. This afternoon I gave the dog a haircut (think shearing sheep).

It's so freaking hot here in Florida, I can't even stand to go and collect the mail. I need to walk on my treadmill, but that's so boring!! ;)

A 44.6 mile bike ride on beautiful but breezy Memorial Day. I called it Hills and Headwinds at High Noon. It's almost the season to get out and ride before mid-day.

BG before ride 83 mg/dL, after ride and a shower it was 90.

Went on an organized 50.4 mile bike ride, Tour de Forest. Dang its getting hot. They had 5 rest stops, plenty of cold water, pickles and pickle juice, so staying hydrated and wasn't an issue. Neither was cramping.

mbuster, my bike is a royal pain to put on and take off the trainer. But you seem to move between road and trainer fairly easily. One bike? What do you do to make it easier?

I have quick release axles on my bike. Put one side in, line up the other side, then pull handle to clamp. In and out of the trainer in about 5 seconds.

10,783 steps and 23 floors Saturday. 12,769 steps and 46 floors Sunday. Monday was riding the lawn mower, but did get a little over 6000 steps off the mower.

Fixing to ride my bike a little on the trainer and then take it outside for a bit. Got to go to work tonight.
