I am Penny from DF. I will lurk for awhile too. I think I have been Diabetic since I was 13, but was not really diagnosed until I was 19 and pregnant, now I am 63. I take Lantus, twice a day and Novolog between 3 and 5 times a day, along with many other medications. I have survived 2 heart attacks and bladder cancer, along with the Diabetes.
My husband of 44 years and I have a combined family of 7 children, 10 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. My family is the the most important thing in my life.

Hey Penny! It is great to see both you and Linda here from DF. WOW! A great grandmother at the age of 63. I am 70 and have grandchildren who are 6 and 2 years old. If my grandkids grow up and have their own children I will be in my 90's! LOL! 7, 10 and 3 eh? How do you keep track of all their names? Do you have them wear name tags??? LOL!

I am sorry to hear the history of your health problems. I hope everything is more stable now and you feel good. Having all those offspring with you, all at once, would be enough to give someone a heart attack. Take it easy!

That little cartoon has been my avatar for years, and you'd be surprised how much it actually looks like me! One local fella who met us personally after getting acquainted on a local message board, then went back to the board to announce "she looks just like her avatar!"
