I have a message into my Dr but they take forever to get back to us.

I test fasting in the AM and again 2 hours after meals.

Is that normal?

You need a fasting reading. And you need to be testing before you eat so you will know in 2 hours if your blood glucose is going back down to normal. I always take a reading before turning my light out at bedtime.

once fasting. Once before meals and once 1-2 hours after meals. You really miss a lot if you only take one test 2 hours after a meal because you might have gone way up and back down and not known it. Also once before bed is always a good idea. The way I look at it the more is better, you should test after certain types of foods and take a mental note just to know hwo your body is affected by different foods.
