Someone with the online user name of Kevinpa, who died a few years ago, had posted a recipe where he added some ingredients to Carbquick and named it 'LC cake or cookie flour mix' at 9 net carbs per cup. According to what I read online by people who have tried it, it is supposed to make great cakes and cookies, and can be used to replace all purpose flour in cake and cookie recipes. Has anyone tried making and using his flour mix?

I think there are lots of ways to make low carb baking mixes. I don't use Carbquick because it does have wheat in it. I find mixing almond meal, golden flaxseed meal or vanilla whey powder together gives you a great baking mix. Check out Dana Carpenders cake recipes in her very low carb cookbooks. She always use a different combination of these flours or coconut flour. Carbquick is also rather expensive.
