Hello all. New to the forum but not diabetes. I was diagnosed type 2 about 4 years ago. Meds have, until recently, kept things in check. But now, fasting blood glucose is in upper 200s even with Actos/Met and glimeripride. Looks like insulin therapy is just around the corner which I will welcome if it correlates to better control.
46 yr old male, 5'10" 175 pounds, down from 205 at time of diagnosis. Exercise and diet, I hope, have contributed to weight loss, but higher recent BG levels have my body dumping more fat and weight.
No family history of which I am aware, so was pretty surprised when all of this began. Glad to find this group of forums for discussions and answers. Thanks.
