How do you measure blood sugar levels 3-4 times a day? I use that finger prick and test machine, certainly can't use it more than 2-3 times a week.

I was diagnosed when I was 4 (I'm almost 58 now). I test myself a minimum of 4 times a day - I also play string instruments and keyboards - there's been times where I've left blood on the keys LOL ...

For someone like me it's not a big deal - it used to be way worse back in the early days as the finger pricks were pretty big and combined with the customary fear of a child probably made it even worse.

So having said that - you will eventually get used to it. But to qualify my answer I've been using Contour Next for the past few years - the strips require only a tiny little bit of blood so pricking your finger isn't a problem for me. - However some glucometers - especially the old ones require more blood and if that's the case - you may want to explore other glucometer products. Hopefully your Health Insurance will cover it.

Thanks for the details, I am getting used to the machine. I use AccuChek Active and it draws very little blood and heals quickly. As of now, I am testing once in 3 days.

I am happy to see that you have maintained the levels perfectly, I might reach out to you for some suggestions in future.
