I agree that your liver may be dumping a load of glucose into your system during the night. That is not unusual. What insulins do you use? If you are uaing a basal insulin then what time of day do you inject? Some Type 2 diabetics on insulin inject in the evening instead of morning to avoid high sugar in the morning. Others split the dose between morning and evening. The dosage may also need to be increased. Your morning numbers are way too high. Do you eat a lot of carbs in the evening? I assume you follow a low carb diet, take a Type 2 med and exercise every day. Failing to do these things can also cause high blood sugar. If you want to adjust your basal insulin dosages you may need to consult your doctor beforehand. Good luck!
