Has anyone else had this experience? My Freestyle Lite has gone through 9 batteries in a month. Either the meter has become dodgy (been using it for a few years) or the supermarket is selling batteries which are already depleted. I just put another new battery in two days ago and its already dead! (also oh boy I am getting sick of having to re-enter all the date and time info!!)

Anyone?

New one on me -- but the batteries should come in a blister packet with a "good by" date on it. Is that anytime soon?

You could try using a really bright light to look around the battery compartment for debris or perhaps add some tension to the spring that holds down the battery (if, in fact, your meter has one of those). Otherwise my thought is it's new meter time. :sad2:

I would say time for a new one. If you call them and explain what is going on my bet is they would send you a replacement free of charge.

Very often they are available for free anyway so I would find it hard to believe that they wouldn't take care of it for you. Can't hurt to try.
