If you have Publix in your area, metformin is free! Thank goodness metformin is cheap to begin with, I always got it from wal-mart for 10.00 for 3 months supply. This new doc I saw today gave me a new script and told me about it. They will only let you have 30 days at one time but hey its free.

There are a few supermarkets in Columbus, Ohio who offer free diabetes medication as well. I can't remember which ones, so I don't want to guess at who gives them out for free. I have already met my yearly deductible on my prescriptions so I won't be paying anything for the rest of the year. But saving a few bucks here and there doesn't hurt!
