I'd go ahead and take it. Metformin is more of a delayed, longer term effect there isn't any major "hit" when you take it. Also, Met doesn't really cause lows. Just my opinion...
Just my opinion but if your eGFR is above 60 then no problem, but if your eGFR is below 60 then do not chance over stressing your kidneys with extra metformin, my PA told me i should drop metformin because my eGFR has dropped to 53. you could also ask your doctorHi,
I take Metformin 3x per day. But I have some memory issues and I can't remember if I took my noon dosage or not.
Is it better to leave it and just take my evening dosage, or would it be an issue if I took it when I maybe already did?
Looking for input, thanks,
thanks folks, I did just that.I think I'd go ahead & take it too . . . you're nowhere near the maximum dosage, even at 1500mg per day.
I understand completely. I have 2 pill containers, one for am/pm doses and a larger one for bedtime medication. I have a couple of pills that need to be taken at an odd time, so I jusy set the alarm clock on my cell phone to remind me. I keep note pads just to keep track of several things. Our memory can only hold so much 411.thanks folks, I did just that.
I was thinking since i take so many other things 2x per day... that I'd ask my doctor if it would make sense to move to twice per day, just so I could remember... (I have a pill container for AM/PM of each day of the week, but nothing for mid-day...)...
