Has anybody have a Microalbuminia that resolved on its own? My number came back in at 52. Kaiser wants me on blood pressure meds. I don't have blood pressure, but apparently it protects kidneys. I don't want to take any more meds. I feel like a 5 year old kid having a feat, but I am so tired of it all.
My A1C came in at 5.5.

First, you shouldn't worry. Your BG is normal
About the Microalbuminia, I didn't use to have it. But as I read information about this problem, I think that You should go to the doctor for a kidney test. It makes you better

Taso, what's the name of the BP med your doctor wants you to try?

If your Microalbuminia was 52 - what's the normal range? Just curious - don't know anything about microalbuminia - what does it signify?
It means kidney disease. ☹
The normal is below 30.
They want to put me on Ace inhibitor, but now sure which one.

Mine settled by itself but not before my GP of the time was at panic stations and wanting me to take ACE inhibitors for protection. My BP was in the normal range. The ACE did nothing in that respect, it may have helped with the kidneys, but overall, I didnt feel like it actually did anything. I was put on one med after another and currently am on 3 different ones and have in hand a referral back to the cardiologist because my current GP is at a loss as to how to control the BP which spikes when I do any exercise (eg simply walking for 20 yards will put it up) I believe (and I may be wrong) that starting on BP meds before you really need to have them, may be counterproductive. But thats just me. You'll need to do research to make a decision.

I don't have BP and my sugar is A1C 5.5. Last year my kidneys were fine, but it looks like multiple kidney infections put it over the edge.i am afraid that progression is unstoppable. I need 15 years fully functioning to get my kids raised and out the door. I hope I have that.

Sue, when you say it settled by itself, do you mean it stopped progressing? Or it healed?

All I mean is that urine tests were showing albumin for a few in succession, and then, that all stopped and all tests came back within normal range.

I hope yours settles, but kidney infections are always troublesome. I've never had one, luckily. Are you seeing a renal specialist? If not, you rpobably should.
