Hi tigger - welcome to the forum. While we're glad to have you here, you might also want to check out this forum, a site with forums specifically for children with diabetes, and their parents. There will be more people like you there, though certainly we love having you here.

Don't worry, tigger. Your daughter is not alone! I have had diabetes for 9 years and was diagnosed at the young age of 8. I understand the struggles that come with diabetes, but as you grow up with it, you learn how to deal with it quickly. If you have any questions I would be happy to help.

The Children with Diabetes website is a great place. I highly recommend it. They are awesome. I post there every once in a while and have learned so much. I know you will find it helpful as well.
