I've recently been told I'm insulin resistant/pre-diabetic and was wondering if it's possible that this could be the cause of my constant nausea for the past 7 months? My doctor said it isn't but I can't help but think it could be. The nausea can get pretty severe and has affected me badly, I'm just dying for an answer!
Welcome, mc1990 . . . nausea isn't anything I ever experienced from being insulin resistant, nor is it a common complaint from pre-diabetics. If you've suffered with this for seven long months, I have to ask what is your doctor doing to determine the cause, besides insisting it isn't your blood sugar?
Oh that's a bummer. I've had a countless amount of tests done and have found nothing physical, so my doctor just put my nausea down to anxiety. I have my doubts about it though because I never feel anxious.
Could you keep a log of the foods/meds/supplements you use and see if there's any connection between the attacks of nausea and any certain item you've ingested? Sometimes allergies to certain substances can create digestive upsets.
