Latest A1C down to 6.5. That's a 10 point drop since January. Thanks be to God for my HMO finally allowing me to see an Endo. The use of Novolog with Lantus has changed the direction of my diabetes.

For those of you waiting to see a drop in your A1C, just give it time, belief it will happen, and follow your diet with at least 5 days a week of aerobic exercise and some limited weights and stretching.

If I did it, so can you.

Also, my Kidney function test continues to hold steady at 1.3 and a GFR of 56. This is an answer to others who prayed for me when I was in acute renal failure just 12 months ago.

Great News! Your A1C is in the normal range. I agree that Lantus & Novolog can be a lifesaver to those who need insulin treatment. I am sorry but I do not understand your kidney function tests but you seem to be happy with the results. I am very happy for you!:)
