Hello.

I am a 40 yr old male, father of three.
I have just and I mean just been diagnosed with pre diabetes.
I have been a firefighter for 16 years and I also have a stress disorder
from years of trauma related to my job.
I'm hoping to gain information along the way as well as make a few
new friends.
I am hoping to find this site useful and I will welcome all the information
possible.

Hello E9, welcome aboard! Please tell us more about yourself. Which type of diabetes do you have? What treatment has been prescribed? What kind of blood sugar numbers do you presently have? What are you doing to help with your control?

Ask all the questions you want. There are several experienced diabetics here who can offer help once we hear your questions and know more about you. I hope you find our site helpful and informative.

Among those who deserve the deepest respect, you guys are the top next to our military.

Lord knows my friend that you've given everything perhaps enough in your life. That job is emotionally demanding but know how much you're loved. How much your profession is loved. I know generations have changed over the years but thank God kids still want to be firefighters.
