Vic there is no cure for diabetes. There are ways of improving control and making diabetes better but there is no cure. If I eat grapes or drink grape juice it raise my blood sugar and I have to take insulin to compensate. Grapes are not one of the best choices of fruit for diabetics. I eat them sparingly. You can find so called "cures" frequently. Peolpe make lots of money off these fake cures and then magically disappear, never to be heard of again. They take their money and run. There is someone posting on this site now that he has a couple of cures for diabetes. Don't believe him.
I think you are referring to Grape Seed Extract. It will not cure your diabetes but I do believe some things will help regulate our blood sugars. I do take 1000 mg. of cinnamon twice a day, as I heard it helps regulate blood glucose. It might help and I'm sure it can't hurt. I also use Flax Seed Meal in many of my foods. Adds fiber and supposedly helps regulate carbs into sugars in our bodies. Do I believe these things will cure me? NO!! But it is not unsafe and maybe, just maybe it will help.
Pol remember that for seeking a positive result (reduction in sugar levels, and perhaps even normalcy), merely taking cinnamon may not help adequately. As written earleir, seek a programme that creates conditions in your body good enough for the body to carry out "repairs". ...e.g. detoxification, enhacement of cells through good nutritious diet ( not deficient diet ), taking herbs that help the body to work directly on affected sitee (pancres/beta cells, in our case),etc.
For all these, empower yourself with as much knowledge reg. diabetes as possible. None of these herbs are harmful - even if they do not work. Have seen cases where diabetics have refused to go to doctor, and control their sugars this way. All the best. Trust in your body's capability to carry out repairs .Regards
Nutspatel, I am also on 1000 mg. of metformin and 10 mcg of Byetta twice a day. I do go to my doctor as often as he wants to see me for checkups. Sometimes every three months but since I have been doing so well, I don't see him until August now, which is a six month stretch for me. I do follow a fairly healthy diabetic diet low in carbs and high in fiber. I have been to diabetes education classes and I have seen a nutritionist. I guess my post looked like I meant that I was only taking the cinnamon and flax seed meal. YIKES! Thank you for the advice and the concern.
the only cure is live cell or stem cell therapy which can only be done in Mexico or Europe. i myself am researching live cell therapy alot. i have heard it used a lot for skin treatments and other things. i can only pray that it could work for diabetes also. Google it and learn more. all i know is they take a baby cow embryo and inject the pancreas cells from it into your body and your body's immune system doesn't recognize it as a cow because it is at such a low development level and those cells start to recreate and bring your pancreas back to life i believe. i may not be 100% correct. GOOGLE will be better than me
