Hi,
I am on a couple other boards, DD, Diabetes UK and TU and like to mix it up an visit other boards. Sometimes the change is just good to get other points of view.

I am trying to figure out what I am. I am somewhere between a Type 2 and 1.5 and am having more tests with my Dr done to determine that. My Dr is willing to work with me to achieve my goals My last A1c was 7.3 down from DX @ 14 last August.

Not feeling that great on Metformin and it is working to a point but struggle with large spikes after meals and some high dawn phenomon numbers. I follow Dr Bernsteins diet and have been doing great on that but still feel kinda cruddy.

I am looking for more information on Diagnosis and managing 1.5. thank you

Hello, welcome aboard! Switching from a more normal diet to Dr Bernstein's diet can be a drastic change and a shock to your body , unless you made the change very gradually so your body could adjust. A sudden change could make you feel cruddy.

Ask all the questions you want. We are here to help!

Thanks Richard. I probably went too drastic on Dr B's meal plan, maybe thats it. I have been doing the diet since thanksgiving. Numbers again above 130 this morning on a empty stomach. I am getting discouraged a little now. But I know thats part of the ballgame and many more mountains to climb.
