Okay, so I made a smoothie for breakfast and the ingredients were as follows:

Approx. 1/4 c. mixed berries (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry)
1/4 c. half and half cream (all I had in the house)
3/4 c. water
1 handful of fresh spinach
1/4 banana
1 scoop of protein powder

Made a total of about 12 oz. of smoothie

I was quite surprised at how good it was with the spinach in it. The only thing I guess I have to say is the bitlets of spinach were a bit strange, but I can deal with that.

Am I on the right track?

Did you test your bgs. When I make my smoothies I put in a couple of frozen berries and usually coconut milk. I also would leave out the bananna. Sometimes the spinach gives a wierd color to my smoothie. Most of us go by what your bg meter tells you.
