peanuts

I've had to stop buying them, can't eat just a few.

peanut butter's the same. I only buy those small, individual serving packets by Justin that the healthfood stores carry - and only a couple at a time!!!

I could also eat way too many macadamia nuts, not that too many would be bad. I don't have the back pocket to afford the habit.

Macadamia nuts for me. Always, eternally plus a day, macadamia nuts.

Thankfully Costco sells large bags of them, though they do go through periods of a couple to a few months at a time when they're not available. Then, I order a bag $$ online and make it last.

With me it's wild blue berries and they are in season right now. There are lots of roadside vendors (farmers) selling large boxes of blue berries. One of our neighbors is a berry farmer so we buy directly from him.

In the past - a "few" blueberries didn't have much of an impact on my BGs - great - however I can't stop at one partial handful - last night I was on a feeding frenzy - I couldn't stop eating them. I ended up getting up at 4am because my BGs felt high and after confirming (testing) I ended up giving myself an extra shot of Humulog to try to lower or at least stabilize my BGs.
Anyway - I need more discipline ... my digestion system is currently saying - "what the hec did you do to me" - think I overdosed on the fiber.

I'll try not to make the same mistake tonight.

Anything really. I freaking love food, I love my wife’s cooking, I’ve gone hungry too often in my life; Iraq, Afghanistan, being flat broke and homeless more than just a couple times...
Put enough food in front of me, and I have been known to eat until getting sick, then eating some more because I wasn’t full any longer.

Pork rinds. I've taken to putting a portion of them in a dish because it's just too easy to keep reaching into the bag.
This is one thing I’ve been doing lately, just not with pork rinds. I have a “monkey” bowl (that’s what my wife calls it). It holds about a quarter cup. Perfect for things like trail mix and other snacks.
