So here's a typical day since my diagnosis in January.

Wake-up 4am

Breakfast 4:15am
1 cup of chereos and no fat milk. 500mg Metfo, 1000mg vit c, 1000mg cinnimon. Bottle of water. Weight unclothed 159lbs (It's important that when you weight yourself, it's with nothing on)

4:45am: 15 minutes Kendo exercise.

5:15am: BP check 100 over 64 pulse 75

7am BG 101

8am 1/3 box of raisins, bottle of water

10am BG 81

11AM Lunch: wheat bread sandwitch, 2 slices thin roast beef, mustard. Bottle of water

2pm 1/3 box of raisins, bottle of water

3pm 30 minutes pool swim (OMG it was broiling hot yesterday!)

4pm BG 77

5PM Dinner. Palm sized piece of lean beef, small bowl of lettice, tomatoes, onions, cucumber. 500mg metfo, 1000mg vit c, 1000mg cinimmon. bottle of water.

7pm 30 minutes of Kendo

9pm BG 83

9:30pm 1/2 box of raisins. Bottle of water.

10pm: bed

That is a very healthy sounding eating, exercise and BG day. You should live forever if you keep that up. LOL! Tight control like that keeps the A1c's low and gives you a very good chance at living a long life without diabetes complications. You did not say anything about diabetes meds or insulin so I am assuming that you ar able to have god control with diet and exercise alone. That is great!! Keep it up!

So far I'm prescribed Metformin in 1000mg tabs. The doc told me to take it in the morning but I didn't like the first day, it hit me like an express train so I spaced it into 500mg morning and evening.
