I am a stranger here. However, I am also a member of a site that allows me to play - FREE - the best online games I have ever encountered AND provides monthly checks to 6 charities based on that play.

The games are great - arcade, casino, word games (the best Word Pop extant), card and board games, puzzles, even action games. The prizes for individuals are pretty good, too, although the odds of winning are slim (I have won cash, twice since last autumn- $50.00 each time). The best for me, though, is the opportunity to help fund a cause I sincerely and personally support, via membership in a Charity Team.

Since I am type 1 (since 1974) I play to help the ADA team with a realistic chance to win a check. There are almost 250 different teams available, in two groups: National Charity Teams - some huge teams, with more than 3000 members play there; and those Member-Created teams, which are much smaller. The same prizes are awarded separately for each divison, so consider the chances to win, of the team you choose as one of the factors in making that choice. Tigers competes against the smaller teams, and yet still plays for the same $10,000 first prize, $2,000 second prize, and $1,000 third prize, as the teams in that other division. If winning is not the primary concern, but merely supporting your chosen cause, then the available choices cover virtually every cause imaginable.

One criticism has always been the lack of useful member guidelines, a "How-To-Start" orientation for beginners. In order to assist new members recruited to the Charity Teams, Tigers has provided a blog to supply exactly that - without regard to which team one joins or which cause one supports. That blog has links to the Tigers team page, as well as to some diabetes organizations
The blog is at: tigersagainstdiabetes blogspot com - but again, I cannot post a link, so you must work to get there.
