I just read the article posted on Diabetes regarding a causal connection discussed at length on the internet about pesticides and diabetes, esp. among the obese, which should not be surprising as a corollary to the more you eat the more you get organophospates, etc.

I would like to add that pesticides contain trace elements like manganese and zinc too, which may explain the epidemic rise in neurological illnesses.

Scientists are now very much obsessed with genetic research of illness, social conditions, etc. and not as much on the effect on the brain, lungs, skin-- from a truly contaminated environment that we live in, especially in big, crowded cities.
