It's kind of a thing with me - visual art media.

I have to say that the drop of blood logo and the ubiquity of blood-red color in this forum's screens and emails are offensive, off-putting. Would somebody reconsider?

As people who must stick our fingers repeatedly, unendingly, we hardly need reminding of blood's connection to us. Nor is blood entertaining, endearing, or a worthwhile basis for forming interpersonal bonds.

It just makes makes me want click 'DELETE.'

Hmmmm . . . I think red is the default color for vBulletin boards. Some vBulletin forums include another color option and some don't. I think we don't. No comment on your other problem or the "delete" issue . . .

I find that it is a fact of life. So what if the color is red? We life with blood every day and I don't mind. I personally find red eye appealing and reminds me that I have diabetes. One forum had a blue that I do not like, but I will not complain.

For me it is the people that make up the forum and not the colors on the screen. Learn to look past the color as I do on many websites that I visit. I am there to read and learn or to meet and learn from or help people.

I am claiming "fried brain syndrome" from too much school work. That's my story and I am sticking to it!

I thought it was a flame. The idea of blood doesn't bother me, as blood is necessary for life. Now if it were a donut or slice of pizza, I might then have issues with it.
mmmmmm pizza.....drool....

Red!!!

I love bright colors in the forums. Fire engine red is beautiful. I do NOT, however, wear red pants, shoes, socks :eyebrows:. I have a cople of red plaid shirts that I like very much. :p

My shirt in my avatar is red.

The drop of blood on the Forum banner can also be interpreted as a source of life. My husband just received commendation from our local blood bank for his "5th" gallon whole blood donation. If the original poster is ever in need of a transfusion I don't think there will be any question about the color of blood.
