Just 14 months ago, I was admitted to the hospital with a 'hyper-tensive crisis.' I arrived at the ER with my blood pressure wavering around 250 over 140, and along with the hypertensive crisis, my lings were full of fluid, and the sack around my heart was bubbling with fluid, too!

I was taken, with 20 minutes, from the ER to the ICU, and hooked up to more machines and lines and tubes than I could ever remember seeing in a death seen in a General Hospital episode.

Within 12 hours, I was diagnosed with a benign prostrate condition, which caused my bladder to back up, sending dangerous toxins back to the kidneys, and my kidney functions had digressed to the point that I was told I was in End Stage Renal Failure. My kidneys had stopped functioning, and if they didn't respond with catheterization flush [a process where they force saline into one tube going into the urethra and up to the bladder, forcing the urine and toxins out of another cath tube and into a collection bag, that was being filled and changed every 30 minutes or so.

Had this not worked I would be placed on dialysis, something I feared as much as dreaded.

Within three days, my kidney functions had improved enough to be moved to a unit, one step down from ICU, and my BP was starting to respond to.

I spent nine days in the hospital, and went back for a lazar procedure to reduce the prostate. With that procedure competed, I was finally taken off of a cath tube by Septembe 2009, and the only problems, I had were gaining better control of the BP, and diabetes.

Well, with that said, I am excited to tell you that the Lord has completely turned things around, and I am happy to report that as of my lab test results, taken Friday, my A1C [which was 7.5 one year ago] is now a respectable 6.4. My kidney function Creatinine went from 2.2 [last year] to 1.2; and the filtration numbers came up from 16 [last year] to 61.

Truly, God, through the prayers of many family, friends and church folks, has healed me, and continues to keep those numbers on the side of improvement from lab tests every 60 days. I've improved so much that I am moving from testing every 60 days, to every 90 days.

If you are new to diabetes, or had it for a long time, or, you're somewhere between, and facing health problems that have you sacred spit less; are still the only way to get to the ear of God, and cause Him to move within your life to bring about positive change for your overall good.

Shalom,

Pastor Paul

Good report! Thanks for the update, Paul . . . may I trust that you're still taking your insulin & eating low carb, despite the healing you've sustained? And give yourself SOME credit for making the lifestyle changes required to control your diabetes.

This is wonderful news Paul! I certainly hope your numbers keep you healthy for many, many years.

In 2002 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I had much radiation treatment in early 2003. There were some annoying side effects afterwards, but I am in good shape now.
