DP is something that happens to a lot of us, even non D's. I am not sure if you can reverse it. The best way to manage it is eating a lower carb diet that reduces your glycogen stores in your liver. Also the drug metformin also helps with suppressing glycogen convesion to glucose. Some find adding insulin also helps.
We had a member here that found that putting a teaspoon of sugar in his coffee would trigger an insulin response and lower his BG vs just putting an artificial sweetener in it. Me, I'd rather not have the extra insulin running around.
