My doctor just took me off of one of my cholesterol meds because it wasn't doing any good. I currently have about 6 months of this drug on hand and it seems like such a waste to flush it; does anyone know if there is anything that can be done with it? It is not a very expensive drug, but it still seems like a shame to waste it.

If you have a free clinic close by, they may take it. We used to do that when I worked at the local free clinic. It was much appreciated!

Don't flush it. It will get into the water system. Ask your pharmacist what the best way to dispose of it. If they are in the original sealed package you may be able to donate them.
