I am getting redirects to sites claiming to be apple saying I have been infected with a trojan or I get a site looking like flash player saying my flash player is out of date and it downloads a flashplayer-2.dmg file. It was only happening on the new threads and then it happened when sending a PM and when first trying to post this thread. This has just started this afternoon, it wasn't doing it this morning.

I ran Malwarebytes Anti-malware for Mac and it found nothing. I have turned off my flash player to see what that does. I had no problems when on a speed test site that uses flash player so I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm going to go back to the posts in the new threads and see how it acts with my flash player off.

Anybody else experiencing anything?

Going back to the newer threads, it is still happening to me, even opening this thread back up where I am so far the only poster.

And at the time was the only viewer.

Okay I saw it happen too now. The site triggered a download of FlashPlayer.dmg from constafun.net. I didn't realize immediately because it opened the window behind the current one.

I'm using the latest version of FireFox, with both AdBlock Plus and Privacy Badger, and it still made it through...

Every once in a while a bad ad will get through Google.

I have not experienced it yet, but I will keep my eye open for it so that our team can block it.

P.S. Sometimes clearing your cache can help as well.

I video'd it happening. Here is the sequence of URLs if it helps:
nanoadexchange.com
adexc.net
newsoftready4923889.pw
softwareupdate.whenvideouosafesystem4unow.space
downloadmac.pw
cdnconstafun.com
softwareupdate.whenvideouosafesystem4unow.space

I had to kick BH off her windows computer to be able to post. It is almost impossible to look at anything on my laptop on the forum.

Daytona, was that on your mac? I'm using the safari browser on my laptop. I'm using IE on BHs computer with no issue. She has Chrome and Firefox and she normally uses them.

A screen shot of the end result?
What I am trying to catch is where it starts.

I haven't been able to recreate it yet, (We all tend to see different Google ads based on sites we visit, search history etc.) so the more information I can give the techs, the better chance we have of getting it blocked.

Not sure what the ads were before or when the issue started, I normally don't scroll down and see the ads at the bottom. Sometimes I notice those on the side bar, sometimes I don't. I know it quit happening between 10-11 PM central time. The ads I remember after it got better were for American Red Cross, Goldman Sachs, something about Harbor Freight (GSG??) These were below the posts, I don't recall seeing any advertising in the side bar last night after looking for it.

I had no redirects after 11 PM on my laptop. This morning has been smooth sailing.
