86 mg/dL

I purchased a ReliOn Confirm meter at Walmart, brought it home, read the instructions, loaded up, pricked myself, and thought the meter didn't work since it read 86. Then I thought about my day and realized that it may be accurate. I have been fasting today. I had a cup of coffee this morning with half and half and Truvia. I also drank 8 ounces of V8 with my medication. I had no lunch until 4:00 pm, where I had a salad with ranch yogurt dressing and 5 ounces of grilled chicken. At 6:00 pm, I had an ounce or so of almonds. At 9:00 pm, I tested.

So, I suppose that may be a valid test result. I look forward to testing again to see if it is legit.

Just before lunch

98 mg/dL

Lunch was Beef Enchiladas covered in a cheese sauce, with sides of refried beans and rice. Chips and salsa beforehand. Ice tea to drink.

1 hour after: 148 mg/dL

2 hours after: 152 mg/dL

77 mg/dL
79 mg/dL

After hitting 152 at lunch, I did not believe that it would drop so much 5-6 hours later, so I tested again. Still not sure I trust this number.
