Hello everyone!!

Went to the chemist yesterday to pick up some insulin and glucose strips and I got to talking to the pharmacy assistant about my anxieties about going low and how that was affecting my BGLs negatively. She suggested I try rescue remedy, and sold me a small bottle of it.

So far, it seems to be working for me, but I'm not sure if it's the product working or if it's just my mind?? My glucose levels have been really good today and I haven't been anxious about it, like I would have been just two days ago.

I'm not worried if it isn't the product working - I just want my levels down and my HbA1c down too, and if it's just giving me confidence, then yay!

Has anyone else tried rescue remedy or something similar for a similar problem??

I have never heard of this...whats in it and how do you take it? Is it some sort of glucose you take when you are getting low?

Pam, here is a paragraph from a website on Google. It is also advertised for pets. Lol!

"Your inner calm.
On Call.
Rescue® Remedy has become every woman's emotional ally for its calming and centering energy and is now relied upon by people around the world to provide unconditional support during demanding times."

According to the little box it's come in, it describes it as:

"Rescue Remedy is the Original Flower Remedy combination discovered by Dr Bach in the 1930s.

Helps you cope in balancing life's ups and downs.

Assists the return to a more positive outlook when you need comfort and reassurance.

Provides support at times of emotional demand, such as before a driving test, interview, exam or flight or when you simply need a little help."

Ingredients are:

5x dilution of flower extracts of Rock Rose, Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum in a grape alcohol solution.

Hahaha I love how they say it's good for calming you down before a driving test, but also has alcohol in it - here in Aus, you'd fail instantly if you had alcohol on your breath!!!

They also have a sleeping one, apparently, that helps you sleep.

Never heard of it before. If it helps with your hypophobia then keep taking it. You might be able to get a herbal remedy with a mixture of relaxing herbs without the alcohol. You would have to research what is available to you where you live.
