Uncorrected vision in my operated eye has gone from 20/400 to 20/40! This means I'm actually able to drive without the "corrective lenses" restriction on my drivers' license - once I get the other eye operated, of course.

And the other eye will be operated three weeks from now! Hallelujah! I gigged the doctor about it, saying all the pre-op work would still be good, so let's get a wiggle on, and darned if he didn't! Jumped right up & said "follow me!" Led me right to the office of the surgical coordinator! lol!

This guy has given me back vision I haven't had since at least 1951 when I started to school. It was only when I went to first grade (no kindergarten in those days) that they realized I couldn't see & I've worn heavy glasses ever since. Talk about a miracle! :amen:

Shanny, that is amazing, after such a long time. Why didn't some doctor see a solution before now? I am very happy for you!!!

Thank you, Richard! I guess there are now laser procedures for the myopia, but the problem all along with that AND the cataracts was that I was uninsured & could not afford the surgery until I aged into Medicare. Ah well . . . I think I'm still young enough to enjoy it! heheh!

Shanny, I am glad that everything is going good with the new eyeball :D I am scheduled to have my first eye operated on 30 days from today. I sure hope I get the same good results! If not, I am headed your way :llama:

Okay! Positive vibes coming over for your procedure next month & the second eye soon to follow. As instant as the results are for these, it's hard to accept why they won't do both eyes at once, but I guess there's always the chance of an unexpected complication, and they'd rather not risk both eyes until they get the lay of the land, as it were.

Rama :llama: ding-dong . . . !!!
