The search feature isn't working for me.

I have been having computers issues lately, but the search function was working yesterday for me. Just wanted to touch base and see if its a "just me thing"

I just tried a search for something where I had a general idea of what would come back and it worked quickly and gave me what I expected. Was this Advanced Search? Did it just time out or give you unexpected (or no) results?

For what it's worth, I saw a couple of minor hiccups on the site this morning. Can you try your search again and see if it works now?

A couple things you might try while you're waiting for your daughter to look at your computer.

1. If you have an ad-blocker...turn it off for this site and try your search again. Hitting Go on the Search feature polls ad cookies as it loads.

2. Try another browser. If another browser works...it's a setting in your regular browser that may have been changed during an automatic update.

Good ideas, Bounty!

vdrogers, you also can try logging out and logging back in. Might need to clear the cookies for this site; if you don't know how to do that your daughter probably does.

One of the handiest computer tools I've found (I've used this for years) is a (free) program called CCleaner. Under Options/Cookies it will show you all the cookies currently on your computer...and the ability to move the ones that you want to keep into a Cookies-to-Keep column. When you run CCleaner it will remove all the cookies on your computer...less the ones you want to keep.

I run this program every night before I shut down. Clearing cookies is just one of about 25 other things it does that I've ticked.
