Hello all,

For those of you living in Texas, I work at a non-profit organization out of San Antonio that issues durable medical equipment at no cost to low income individuals with disabilities. Items we carry include (wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, canes, tub benches, etc).

We also have a program called Assistive Technology where we can assist with funding on certain items such as diabetic shoes, insoles, prosthetics, AFO's, cranial helmets, hearing devices, etc.) For adults we can assist up to $500 of the cost and for children up to $1000.

Requirements to apply:
Pic ID
Soc security card
Proof of income for person applying
Prescription from doctor
For the medical equip there is a $20 processing fee
If a veteran ( military id, Dd214, or discharge papers)
If applying for a child we need a birth certificate

Once approved we can assist for one year w med equip for the assistive technology it is once a year.

If you know of anyone who could benefit from this service please forward this information. Funding is limited and equipment goes quickly. First come first serve.

We can be found at www.projectmend.org

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Jen
