This is incredibly tasty - don't let the oysters put you off, they're much different when they've been smoked. It's delicious - been a favorite in our family for 40 years, but I've forgotten to make any since my D came along.

8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
1½ cups mayonnaise
1 tbsp. lemon juice
4 dashes tabasco sauce
1 tin smoked oysters, drained, patted dry & chopped
1 small can chopped black olives

Combine first four ingredients, blending gently - fold in oysters & olives. Chill. Serve with crackers. (or at least GG crispbread . . . ;))

here is the nutritional rundown for the dip, but the fat content will be misleading because I not only drained the oysters, I rinsed them with warm water before patting them dry. So a lot of the oil that's listed on the can went down the drain instead of into the dip.

Serving size: 3 or 4 tbsp.

Oh, that sounds good! I am a lover of smoked oysters and never really even thought about them as something I could have. I know what we'll be having this weekend for a treat! I bet they would be good with the cheese crisps!
