Hi everyone, just wanted to share some news.

Today I started on my new pump, the Medtronic Revel 723. I got my pump last week and was using it for a few days with just saline. My Endo does this for training. Today was the official start with the real stuff, insulin. I am pretty excited. I had some food today after putting the pump on and it was great to just dial in the numbers rather than getting my insulin pen out and injecting myself.

For the next 24 hours I have to check my BGL every two hours and call my Endo every few hours with updates. No dual wave pumping for a week until they are sure my ratios are appropriate.

My Endo also had me do an A1C test. My new number is 6.2%. I am quite happy with that. Anyway, I will keep you all updated on how it goes!

Cheers,

Jeremy
