I haven't looked through the threads for this. it may be here already.
I see folks plant this in their gardens. so what do you do?
dry it then grind it up or what.

I could google it . just wanted to know if anyone grew it.
I grow it, and cut the stems right when they are beginning to flower. Then, dry them for a week or two in a cool room. After that, pack the leaves in a mason jar and cover with vodka. Steep for 3 days, then strain the vodka into dark colored bottles. Keep in the cupboard and use a drop at a time. It won't be bitter this way!

that truvia is so expensive. i thought if I could grow it it would be a huge saving lol
Plus, Truvia is Stevia that has been heavily processed; it bears little resemblance to the real stuff. In fact, you will find it is packaged with maltodextrin to give it bulking so you are able to use it.

The best option aside from growing it is to get the bottled variety. It is made with glycerine, and has 0 carbs. It also doesn't have a bitter aftertaste.

Thing is, for a 3 oz bottle, it is around 10$. It is way cheaper to make it on your own - but for convenience, the bottled stuff is the best.
