Hi i'm from the UK and struggling to find any information on stripless blood meters. I'm going to the docs next month and they're giving me one to try out, has anyone got any information on how these things actually work. Googling didn't really show any results other than adverts for meters and such.

Thanks in advance

Make sure and let us know. I thought they were all stripless as I have never had to take any of my clothes off to use them let alone all of them. Sorry couldn' resist.

The Accu-Chek Mobile, sold in the UK is a stripless meter. The way they work is they use a ribbon cartridge of 50 tests. Somewhat like a mini-cassette you use in a hand-held voice recorder. I use the Accu-Chek Compact Plus which uses a 17-test-strip drum. Handy...but not as handy as a 50 test cartridge.

I'm jealous!
