Some helpful information.

ADA suggestions:

Before meals: 90-130 mg/dl (5-7.2 mmol/L)
1-2 hours after starting
your meal: less than 180 mg/dl (10 mmol/L)

A1C: less than 7% (general recommendation)

AACE suggestions:

Before meals: below 110 mg/dl (6.1 mmol/L)
2 hours after starting
your meal: less than 140 mg/dl (7.8 mmol/L)

A1C: less than 6.5% (general recommendation)
