Hi all. I currently have a cold and I'm struggling to keep my readings in the normal range. It happened several months ago as well but out was far worse than now.

Is there a known link between illness and high readings?

Illness is a stress factor for the body, which lead our BG to be unstabil. When I`m sick in any way I just have tp accept that it is not possible to have a stabil BG.
Hope you soon will get better!

Any type of inflammation causes the production of stress hormones. These homones then signal liver to convert stored glycogen into glucose. Your body perceives you need extra glucose to deal with the infection or inflammation. Thank you body.
