I think I'm going to change my signature. I am going to replace LCHF with KETO. The Consonant, Vowel, Consonant, Vowel sounds less monotonous than Consonant, Consonant, Consonant, Consonant. My LCHF is KETO, but Keto just sounds less bland as a descriptor.

I took the stairs today. :D
Small things add up! I've started parking further from the door at work--it gets me a few extra steps.

My talking meter says "Please relax during measurement" when I turn it on. I know that matters with blood pressure measurement, but I'm not sure how important it is with blood sugar.

I keep seeing ads for weighted blankets. Today, I realized that when I spent nights with my grandmother and she put so many quilts on the bed that I had to get out of bed to turn over, that was a weighted blanket!

I got an alert from my meter app that I had an "out of range" reading. It was a 77 and I was kind of proud of it. Apparently they think anything under 80 warrants a first alert and anything under 70 is another level of alert. The high alert doesn't start until 180-350.

I've been trying to buy okra for quite some time. I haven't found fresh or frozen at the grocery store. I googled it and turns out that there is a nationwide shortage related to corona virus and transportation! We get a lot of our vegetables from other countries.
I'm going to have to find a farmers market or at least find a farmer to get my fix. I can't grow anything due to space and a brown thumb.
It's the time of year that the employer mandates new supplies. I went to the pharmacy to pick them up and my doctor ordered the new strips and lancets, but not the new meter! I told my husband that I guess I'm supposed to hold the strip in my mouth and see if it tastes sweet when I prick my finger?
Edited to add: new meter is supposed to be an AccuChek Guide.
I've been having the same problem with cauliflower -- fresh is easily found; frozen not so much.

I can find (frozen) okra, however. I've seen it both at an independent grocery store near my home and my food co-op. I suspect, however, that okra is less popular in Minnesota than it is in Arkansas and that that has something to do with not finding it on the shelves, too.
My husband's brothers own a restaurant. They ordered some (frozen) for us from a wholesale food company.
Does anyone ever run out of lancets? I change more often than I used to but I have enough for years!
I bought the "economy size" box when I started taking my diabetes seriously. I still have it. The waste associated with one use is simply appalling considering they're used only on me and my clean fingers.
I quit having my prescription refilled. I haven't found anyone yet that needed them!
In this case, it isn't my goofy mind. Here's the first line of a news article from a website in the UK: "DIABETES type 2 would be a relatively benign condition were it not for high blood sugar levels." Duh!
I have a habit of reading labels. It comes in handy when grocery shopping:smile2:
I just noticed that the latest package of toilet paper from Sam's Club says "bath tissue". I'm not sure how long it's been renamed, but I find it an odd euphemism.
