Hello there,

How are you all doing? Hope everything is going good. About four weeks ago I quit smoking cold turkey, and thank God haven't looked back since. I also subscribed to Gold's Gym a week later in order to try and get fit and in shape.

Of course I am still suffering from the effects of smoking, meaning I can't do cardio and exercise for long because I start to breathe heavy, but it's getting noticeably better every day, although I still cannot perform as well as I'd like to.

I always start my exercise with running 2 or sometimes a bit more kilometers in around 20 - 24 minutes. Then cycle for around 10 minutes, and then exercise with weights.

Anyway, my coach at the gym takes this supplement called "Dymatize Liquid Super Amino" which gives you proteins in order to build up your muscles. I don't really eat much meat or anything with protein in it, that's why I need something to assist me and build me up quicker. The only meat I eat is steak or kofta, and the only chicken I eat is grilled chicken ordered from outside, not cooked in the house, which means I don't eat a lot of it.

The Amino Liquid is of interest to me because of two reasons: 1) my coach has been using it for a while and he looks GREAT now, not bulky, but in shape. 2) it has 0 carbs and 0 sugars, which I believe it means that it won't mess up with my sugar levels.

As you can see, 0 sugars, 0 carbohydrates, and 0 fat. The only thing that seems a bit high would be the sodium, but I don't really know whether it actually is harmful or not.

Any information is appreciated, guys. I know that using supplements is not really advised by most people, but I want to perform better in the gym and also build up quicker. The problem is really with my diet, because I don't eat sufficient and enough proteins that would help me with that.

Thank you very much.

p.s: in case any one wants to know, I'm 172cm and 76kgs. The body composition test showed that my body fat percentage is a tad higher than my muscle mass percentage, which is why I'm looking to both drop weight and gain muscle in order to get in shape.
