I can get away with a certain amount of home made corn bread, but that lentil soup which I love, not so sure about, haven't tried it yet.

I can handle lentils and split peas farily well because they are resistant starch which digests slowly. I haven't tried cornbread lately but if it had a lot of fat in it like some recipes the spike could be delayed. As type 2's we are all different and on different meds, do you know what meds she takes. I do OK with corn tortillas as long as I limit myself to 1 or 2.
