I understand totally where youn are coming from. June 23rd of this year i had a tornado touch down one block behind my house. Scared the crap out of my wife and I. Luckily thats as close as it got to our house, but alot of people in our town weren't as lucky. And of course (as there always seems to be) the trailer park in our town had the most damage.
