Hi all,
I have been doing a bit of international travel recently and discovered something interesting.
I suffer daily from the dawn phenomenon, with an average BG rise from a healthy 5.6 (100) to 6.7 (120) overnight.
Upon arriving in a time zone roughly 10 hours different from home, my BG stayed level overnight for a full week without any significant change to my diet. Noticing this I carefully monitored my BG on my return home and the same thing happened.
Although this is obviously not a cure for the dawn phenomenon, unless you want to live on opposite sides of the planet every other week, suffering jet lag and a rapidly reducing bank balance, it was nice to get one over on my wickedly mischevious liver for once.
Time to book another holiday I think. Or maybe a job as a travel photographer.....
