in a strange twist of logic, if one can remove butter from heavy whipping cream and end up with a lower fat milk, then I can also approximate heavy whipping cream by adding butter to coffee cream. LOL

its funny but it m8ght even be better considering that the HWC producers add dextrose to their product in my neck of the woods.
I don't even know what "heavy whipping cream" is. Over here in Oz, we don't seem to have a product like that. We do have whipping cream but it has as many carbs as milk, low fat, yada yada. The only whitening/cooling agent I have in my coffee these days is something called "pouring cream" which has 0.9g carbs per 30ml and a heap of fat. I use about 60mls per cup of coffee, and I have 2 cups, no more. Otherwise its herbal tea of one kind or another. Even having 2 cups of coffee is pushing it for me, I love coffee but alas the fat content in the cream does not like me. (Inevitably I begin feeling nauseated after the second cup. you'd think I would learn. I'm a bit slow.)

It's the same thing for me when I put coconut oil in a drink. Does not settle well. I'm pretty sure it's not the fat that's doing it because I can eat a spoonful of bacon grease or shortening with no problem.

OK I'm jealous. I've had to give up bacon, and I LOVE it. Have not been game to try pork belly or pork chops lately, last time I had chops I ended up having to cut the fat off :( Seem to be OK with fatty chuck steak if its slow cooked.

Have you had your gallbladder removed by any chance?

I have, and I don't digest fats very well. BUT I have found a bile supplement, Ox Bile, which I take (125mg) after every fatty meal. Works very well and I have no issues eating fat now.

I looked it up, heavy whipping cream must contain at least 36% milk fat: and whipping cream must contain at least 30% milk fat. So, those are calorie bombs for sure, but might be worth it, on an occasional basis.
There might be another name for it in Australia, but I would venture to say that it is sold there.

My occasional use is daily in coffee. A cup of which is 500+ calories, but not all is from the HWC.

No, but I had issues when I was 21. Had a nasty bout of Infectious Mononucleosis and a Haemolytic Strep infection which affected my gallbladder and other organs. I was left with a gallbladder in the shape of an hourglass and I have to be very careful about the amount of fat I consume. Interestingly I had forgotten all this until I went LCHF initially and began, after a few weeks, getting twinges again.

Generally its the cream in coffee and a few other things. After that at 21 I went very low fat for a number of years. That is also when I really began struggling with my weight. Wasn't a massive issue until recent years when my capacity for exercise is significantly reduced (thanks to arthritis and heart failure). Aint life grand?

I had a tall boy coffee this morning, it was at Race Trac, and it was Colombian. I put 4 sugars and 4 sprits of choco something in it, OMG!
That cup of coffee made my morning, so far, it was that good.

I may get heavy cream to put into my own brews; or maybe get the 30% stuff, I am not sure on the choices, not yet. So today, I think that I will get a 2 lb bag of Eight O'clock Coffee, and get the show on the road. I will work something out, which suits me.

Your cup of coffee had 500 calories? Really? You sound like me, you blow it up with tasty stuff; because you wrote, that not all of that is HWC.

I do applaud your courage in making coffee that way, I have tended to undermine myself in life, by trying too hard. I would go on diet jags, and deny myself; but in the end, all that I did was run myself into the ground. I burned out, and I have learned to avoid that.

14 ounce cup of coffee (Community Club Chicory) via a load your own K cup, a heaping scoop of stevia extract powder, a tablespoon (actually more than) of butter, two tablespoons of virgin (not refined) coconut oil, 4 tablespoons of HWC, 2 tablespoons of MCT oil, a tablespoon of unsweet cacao powder, 1/2 teaspoon of ceylon cinnamon, and tablespoon of Great Lakes collagen powder.

Drink that at home and usually have similar one at work. At work its regular Folgers, stevia, HWC, butter, coconut oil, and a square of 90% dark chocolate.

I got a 2 pound bag of this at Wal Mart, it is great stuff. It costs $6 a pound, but it's worth it. A single cup of coffee, costs $2 at Wawa or Race Trac; so I do it the old fashioned way, I make it myself. I still did not remember to get heavy cream, but I did get the coffee.

I wished coffee tastes as good as it smells. Unfortunately I have never found a coffee like that. Although this may be sacrilege, Sanka came pretty close to it.
Probably the least bitter coffee I've ever had....and yes, I know it's instant. But most of the instants I've had are not only bitter, they are sour.

I like flavored coffees a lot. I've tried many varieties of flavored coffees as well.
Still have to put a lot of creamer in my coffee to get rid of the bitterness.
