Here's a graph used in the presentation showing rates of Type 1 diagnosis in US (?) servicemen... bearing in mind that being servicemen they would have been pre-screened, so we can be sure these were new diagnoses. Please note in which months the peaks occur (this is Northern Hemisphere)...

Funny, someone posted the idea of a May peak, elsewhere.

I was dx'd Feb 4, developed notable symptoms in late Nov / Early Dec ... perhaps at the end of my Vit D availability?

I'm certainly not suggesting this is the whole story but it is sure is an interesting association :cool:
This interests me, because I was recently diagnosed with a severe Vit D deficiency. Was on prescription high-dose supplementation for 6 months. I'm eager to see if this affects any of my control & other issues I was have regarding my BG. Hmm.
