This only applies to people who take more than the recommended dose, but there have been serious problems. Here is the link to the article. I guess if someone needs more, they might just go for extra. 'That has to be better, right?'

Calcium Supplements Can Increase Risk of Kidney Failure

There is a tendency to think that more of a good thing has to be better. Turns out that's not true.

I don't like even taking a whole multi vitamin in a day. I do buy them for the days when I might not get quite enough quality food, but I break or cut them up and just have a quarter of one on a bad day. They just seem to have the supply way higher than the minimum daily requirements.
