Lately I have been making an effort to drink more water immediately before, and after, meals. It does seem to help with digestion.

Some have found that it helps with their hunger and cravings. I am not sure about that for me yet. However, I intend to experiment with water for a considerable time to find out what, if any, benefits will come from it.

I drink a lot of it now. I stay thirsty, even with my bs in the 5's.
I dilute a coke lite with 1/3 of water and add ice.
I drink water with mint & lemon.
Both bottled and tap.

Im inclined to think it would drown the food faster.

Thanks. I guess even with good blood sugar levels, we diabetics, are really having problems with thirst. Although many years back I read that most people have problems with dehydration; but don't realize it.

I am just now understanding that the aftertaste that came from food eaten will remain and result in false longings for more food. In fact the body does not need the food rather, it is dehydrated and needs water.

Hi,

Im kinda 'hysterical' with having water with me wherever I go. I drink some just before I leave the house, take bottled water in the car, to a movie, order it first in a restuarant and we have just become inseparable. I think of it as a diabetic irritation, but its not too much of an effort. At least I dont have to cook it:D
