For some reason, I am not even close to hungry in the morning, but for me, I need to "break my fast" and I need some energy to start my day.

I tend to turn to my own version of bulletproof coffee to do so. That is what I had this morning.

Tableware Drinkware Dishware Coffee cup Cup

  • 1 cup of strong coffee.
  • 1 spoonful of high quality coconut oil.
  • 1 tsp of butter. (I use Kerrygold unsalted)
  • 2 spoonfuls of heavy whipping cream.
  • 1 spoonful of granulated Splenda
  • 1 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon (I get it at whole foods.)

Caution: For those of you who may be concerned with calories, this is NOT a low calorie coffee, but it is oh so yummy and it has zero carbs.

Having steak and eggs at 3 PM for breakfast. Having a salad and a bullet proof coffee to go with that. I am working 12 hour graveyard shift. Over 2 weeks down, a little less than 1 to go.

Cheese crust pizza, some guacamole, and a salad with some craisens in it. A cup of bulletproof coffee and a glass of hibiscus tea.

I usually have 3 eggs, a couple patties of sausage cut up in them and sometimes a few pieces of hash brown for carbs.
Welcome to the community Contra.

This thread is referring to low carb breakfasts. Hash browns would definitely not be considered low carb. :wink2:

I went from eating a fully-raw breakfast to a heavy protein breakfast.

I'm now eating about 3-4 slices of Hormel turkey with either a scrambled or boiled egg with some avocado. I eat about 2 eggs a day and save one for my salad.

A new quick breakfast. My wife and I did some traveling over the last two weeks. We wanted something we could carry with us that we could eat for breakfast on the road. After doing some research we found some Greek style yogurt. Most manufactures make a health focused Greek style Yogurt.

They come in small cups of 5.3oz. Depending on what fruit and/or flavoring is added the have 9g to 15g of total carbs. Unfortunately, the manufactures are still focused on low fat, low calories, so they all are 'fat free'. No problem with breakfast I drink two-three cups of coffee with HWC added. So my total breakfast consists of one Greek yogurt and coffee w/HWC!

If you hate traditional yogurt like I do, this is not anything like the old sour stuff....Greek style yogurt tastes like pudding, very good creamy pudding! If you have not tried this, you will be amazed.....

Examples:
Dannon Greek light and fit Vanilla - Carbs 9g, Protein 12g
Yoplait Greek 100 Protein, Peach or Blueberry - Carbs 11g, Protein 14g
Others are available from other manufactures, I just do not have any to give you the exact brand and name....

For me keeping my carbs for breakfast at 9g-15g and being full is a win! (of course I am not counting any carbs for my HWC coffee)
